Support Worker & Community Connector – Pasadena

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker & Community
Connector to support a woman in her 40s living in Pasadena, to live her best life. This role is ideal
for someone who can build trust over time, maintain clear professional
boundaries, and bring warmth, humour, consistency, and confidence to their
work.

About the Person
The person you will be supporting is a bright and funny
woman with a sharp sense of humour and big personality.
She values genuine relationships, enjoys meaningful
conversation, and thrives with support workers who are respectful, patient, and
able to engage authentically while maintaining professional boundaries.
She takes pride in running her own small business, enjoys
being involved in her local community, and has a strong interest in AFL
football, whether that be supporting her favourite team in person or on the TV
each week. Family relationships are very important to her, and she loves
spending time around dogs and engaging with people she trusts.
Support is most effective when provided by someone who is
calm, adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and able to provide consistent
structure and encouragement.
Key Responsibilities
·You will provide support across home and
community settings, including:
·Assisting with personal care and daily living
tasks
·Medication assistance and monitoring
·Supporting participation in community and social
activities
·Encouraging independence and confidence-building
·Providing behaviour support using a calm,
consistent, and proactive approach
·Supporting positive routines and meaningful
engagement
·Building and maintaining professional,
respectful relationships
·Working collaboratively with family members and
allied professionals
About You

Preferred but not Essential Skills & Experience
·Experience supporting people with mental health conditions, autism, and/or intellectual disability
·Experience responding to behaviours of concern
·Understanding of person-centred and relationship-based practice
Requirements
·Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:
·Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
·NDIS Worker Screening Check
·Current First Aid Certificate
·Medication Training
·Support required would include at least 1 x sleep over per week, which may include 1 x night on the weekend.
Pay & Conditions
·SCHADS Award – Level 2.1
·Casual rate commencing at $43.23 per hour
