It\u2019s made up of a brand \u2018look and feel\u2019 and \u2018tone of voice\u2019.\n<h4 id=\"look-and-feel\">Look and Feel<\/h4>\nThe look and feel of a brand refers to its visual representation. When this applies to employer branding, it needs to capture the visual look of your workplace. There are many things that can make up the look and feel of an employer brand. This might apply to the colour palette that you use in your communications, or dictate if you\u2019re using photos taken on a camera phone or by a professional photographer. It might see you use lots of emojis, or none at all.\n<h4 id=\"tone-of-voice\">Tone of Voice<\/h4>\nA tone of voice is a brand\u2019s spirit, conveyed through written and spoken words. It gives guidance on what is said, and how it is said. Different employers create a different voice to convey their employee experience. For example;\n\nApple\u2019s tone of voice as an employer could be described as; inspiring and innovative. Instead of having a person speaking to you (like a CEO or manager), it\u2019s a neutral voice. This persona is formed by defining the characteristics, skills, and traits that make up your perfect hire.\n\nA great example from us at 91爆料 is that we look for people who are driven and inspired by our purpose. Hence our videos and content are directed at attracting candidates who want to make employment easier and more rewarding for everyone (just as much as us!).\n\nFrom there, it\u2019s time to create! Your employer content is everything that tells the story of your workplace to your business community. As your marketing department will tell you, there are so many forms of content that you can utilise. Here are just a few examples of what you could do\u2026\n<h4 id=\"photos-or-images\">Photos or images<\/h4>\nA visual representation of what working for your business is like is an absolute must. These can be fun and silly, express employer values or showcase workplace culture.\n\nAn example that we\u2019re loving of a workplace showing off their workplace culture through content is Duolingo\u2019s TikTok. Their account masterfully merges their product and employer branding using their owl mascot Duo, who wants to get users to do their language lessons and cause chaos in equal measure. The Duolingo owl is now a TikTok celebrity, and makes their US-based office look like the place to be.\n\n<figure id=\"attachment_4311\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4311\" style=\"width: 529px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Duolingo mascot\" class=\"wp-image-4311 size-full\" height=\"885\" src=\"https:\/\/employmenthero.com\/my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/recruitment-marketing-strategies-6.png\" width=\"529\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4311\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Duo is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@duolingo\/video\/7080958631591791918\">office King of TikTok<\/a>.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 id=\"articles-and-thought-leadership\">Articles and Thought Leadership<\/h3>\nYour business is made up of incredible professionals who have lots of incredible ideas to share. Could they share a comment on a particular issue with a local news outlet, or write an article for your LinkedIn page?\n\nLook out for trending topics that play into your team\u2019s strengths, and have your hiring teams support them through the drafting and editing process. Make the most of any articles by also posting them on your company\u2019s blog and featuring them in newsletters.\n<h2 id=\"3-turn-employees-into-advocates\">3. Turn employees into advocates<\/h2>\nIt\u2019s harsh but it\u2019s true, people trust content and recommendations from people they know, much more than they trust marketing messages from companies they may not know much about. This doesn\u2019t mean that general recruitment marketing tactics aren\u2019t extremely worthwhile, but it does mean that employee advocacy should be a big part of your strategy.\n\nEmployee advocacy is the promotion of a business by its existing employees. Impressively, <a href=\"https:\/\/hingemarketing.com\/uploads\/hinge-research-employee-advocacy.pdf\">31% of high growth firms<\/a> are using employee advocacy to increase their recruitment marketing. Do you need any more proof that it\u2019s an amazing <a href=\"https:\/\/employmenthero.com\/my\/blog\/talent-sourcing-strategies\/\">talent sourcing strategy<\/a>?\n\nSupercharge your employee advocacy efforts by sweetening the deal for your team with an <a href=\"https:\/\/employmenthero.com\/my\/resources\/employee-referral-program\/\">employee referral program<\/a>. Offering an incentive for your team will make them much more likely to take action.\n<h3 id=\"social-media-advocacy\">Social Media Advocacy<\/h3>\nSocial media has completely changed the way brands can utilise employee advocacy.\n\nGetting your employees to share articles from your blog, pictures around the office or other types of content as social media posts can significantly improve your reach and can put your brand in front of people you would never normally be able to reach (unless you have a hefty social ad budget).\n\nWhere should your team members start? They could write a blog or article about what it\u2019s like to work at your business or their employee experience around a certain theme. It\u2019s a great way to both show your team some love, and get your <a href=\"https:\/\/employmenthero.com\/my\/blog\/employer-branding\/\">employer brand<\/a> seen out in the community.\n\nIt&#8217;s an old school employee advocacy tactic, but it still works today. Giving your employees free shirts, keychains or other usable items provides people with a way to show off your brand without even trying. It might not be the main place that searchers are looking, but if they are considering a role within your business &#8211; we guarantee that they will end up there.\n\nAn engaging \u2018About Us\u2019 page likely includes details about your core values and mission, any positive company news, and clear links to your job openings page.\n<h3 id=\"consider-search-engine-optimization-seo\">Consider search engine optimization (SEO)<\/h3>\nWhen you\u2019re looking at your \u2018About Us\u2019 and \u2018Careers\u2019 pages, it never hurts to consider SEO. SEO makes it easier for search engines to \u2018rank\u2019 your web page, showing it high in search listings.\n\nSEO can be a complicated process, and there is lots of competition around career pages, but there are a few key principles that you can use to bolster your page and capture the attention of your talent pool.\n\nKeyword research is a powerful one &#8211; are you using relevant keywords that your audience is using to search for career opportunities? An online SEO tool like <a href=\"https:\/\/ads.google.com\/intl\/en_au\/home\/tools\/keyword-planner\/\">Google Keyword Planner<\/a> can help you identify these keywords and phrases.\n\nYou can also improve your page speed. Reducing your load time by optimising site content (for example, compressing images), can help improve your user experience and increase the time spent on your site.\n\nAnother tip is to make sure that your page title and meta description are SEO-friendly. These should be easy to read and include your keywords and phrases. It\u2019s more natural for someone to be at an event that is relevant to them and spruik the company they\u2019re from to others.
