Workplace health and safety (WHS) is non-negotiable. Getting it right protects your business from risk and ensures everyone goes home safe.
In a company, WHS is a shared responsibility. Under the (HSWA), falls to the “Persons Conducting Business or Undertaking” (PCBU), which generally means the business entity itself, and its leaders. Workers also have some responsibility for their own safety and following instructions.
The people who best understand your workplace risks are the ones doing the work. shows that businesses that involve employees in safety discussions see lower accident rates and higher engagement. When workers feel ownership over safety protocols, they are far more likely to follow them.
