Role Purpose

The Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Solution Architect is responsible for partnering closely with clients and internal delivery teams to understand business processes, define fit-for-purpose Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, and ensure successful implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimisation. This role acts as a trusted advisor to clients across Microsoft Finance, Supply Chain, ISV solutions, business process improvement, solution design, and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead client workshops with Finance and Supply Chain stakeholders to capture, validate, and document business requirements.

Translate business needs into functional designs and solution blueprints aligned to industry best practice and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain capabilities.

Configure, validate, and guide the implementation of Finance and Supply Chain modules, including testing, training, and cutover readiness.

Work closely with Technical Architects and Integration Leads to ensure effective data flows between Dynamics 365 and upstream or downstream systems, including HR, supply chain, banking, and related platforms.

Provide functional leadership across multi-phase ERP programmes, ensuring risks, dependencies, and key design decisions are managed effectively.

Develop and maintain functional design documentation, including FRDs, BPMLs, test scripts, training content, and user adoption materials.

Support pre-sales activities by contributing to solution architecture, scoping, estimation, and demonstrations of Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain capabilities.

Ensure effective knowledge transfer and handover to Managed Services teams after go-live.

Core Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, behaviours, and attributes:

– Deep understanding of accounting principles and finance operations, including IFRS/GAAP, statutory reporting, and taxation across Australia and New Zealand; experience across Southeast Asia is beneficial.

– Strong expertise and in-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management modules.

– Pre-sales experience and knowledge of sales and pre-sales processes are preferred.

Knowledge and continuous adoption of emerging Microsoft technologies, including Finance Agents, Copilot, Business Process Agent, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and AI or agentic capabilities.

– Ability to stay current with new Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities, AI agents, automation, MCP, analytics, and other future Microsoft technologies.

– Ability to assess and recommend emerging technologies to improve solution design, project delivery, business processes, and operational efficiency.

– Experience working with Common Data Services, Dual Write, Virtual Entities, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, and Project Operations.

– Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders, project teams, and technical teams.

– Strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching capability.

– Ability to balance solution best practice with pragmatic client requirements.

– Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating in complex programme environments.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certification.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect certification.

Professional association membership is highly regarded.

Experience Required

– Minimum 5 years’ experience in systems administration, accounting or finance, and supply chain operational processing.

– Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Microsoft platforms and ERP solutions, including hands-on end-to-end implementation experience.

– Strong understanding of cloud technology and modern enterprise application environments.

– Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams.

– Exposure to coding best practices across relevant languages and integrated development environments is advantageous.
