Help bring our brand story to life – accurate, on-brand content across Medifab and Spex channels.

Medifab is a leading distributor of medical equipment solutions (including Spex), dedicated to shaping better lives for the people and communities we serve. We’re growing our marketing team and looking for a Content Assistant to join us in Rolleston.

About the role

This is an early-career content role, perfect for someone with 1+ years’ experience in content, copywriting or communications who enjoys turning approved messaging into clear, accurate, on-brand copy. Reporting to the Content Specialist, you’ll help prepare, coordinate and schedule content across Medifab and Spex channels, including social media, EDMs and other marketing materials, ensuring everything is correct, consistent and delivered against the content calendar.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drafting social, EDM and other short-form copy from approved master content and messaging supplied by the Content Specialist
  • Adapting approved messaging to suit the tone, format and length requirements of each channel and audience
  • Assisting on photo and video shoots in the studio and on location – styling products and sets, prepping gear, and capturing user stories
  • Attending events, conferences and expos, and capturing content for our socials
  • Pitching ideas in content planning sessions and trying new formats
  • Proofreading all content for spelling, grammar and punctuation, and checking it against approved source material, brand guidelines and correct product naming before submission
  • Building, scheduling and publishing approved content across assigned channels to the agreed timetable, checking links, images, alt text and calls to action are correct before it goes live
  • Tracking assigned tasks against the content calendar, raising deadline risks early, and maintaining organised files, assets and publishing records

What you’ll bring

  • 1+ years’ experience in content, copywriting, communications, marketing or a related role
  • Strong written communication skills, with excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills, with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies and unclear wording
  • Ability to adapt approved messaging into clear, concise short-form content for channels such as social media and email
  • Ability to follow briefs, templates, brand guidelines and established content processes accurately
  • Good organisational skills, including managing files, versions, assigned tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to receive feedback, make amendments and apply learnings to future work
  • Confidence using, or the ability to learn, new content platforms and systems
  • A tertiary qualification or certificate in marketing, communications, journalism, English or media is desirable; equivalent practical experience will also be considered
