About the role | Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga
We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Immunology team based in Hamilton for a 14-month parental leave fixed-term.
Pathlab Waikato’s Immunology department operates between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and includes the sub-disciplines of autoimmunity and infectious serology. Pathlab Waikato is home to the centralised Immunology Department, providing specialist services across the Pathlab network. About you | He kōrero mōu
You will demonstrate clinical and practical knowledge and expertise in the different aspects of service delivery within an Immunology department. Your initiative, positive attitude and professionalism will allow you to transition seamlessly into our team.
Our ideal candidates will be able to clearly demonstrate:
- Experience working in an Immunology clinical laboratory (preferred).
- Current registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current APC.
- Emerging leadership talent and team empathy, with the potential to take on future senior positions within the team.
- Practical experience of operating and troubleshooting laboratory analysers and equipment.
- Foundational knowledge of medical Immunology.
- An understanding of quality systems and practices, including familiarity with IANZ requirements.
