About our role

Based along the pristine coastline of Te Arai, our role will see you assisting our Golf Operations team by providing outstanding customer service to ensure we maintain the world class operation, other key responsibilities will include:

  • Working in the north golf shop to assist with player needs such as tee-time bookings, small soft good purchases, and property knowledge.
  • Daily pro shop duties including merchandising, inventory control and merchandise sales
  • Starting individuals on the golf course while providing them information regarding the history of the course, pace of play, rules and etiquette.
  • Organising tee time reservations via phone and email
  • Support with the caddie program including coordinating with the caddie master by allocating loops, reconciling and reporting caddy rounds as well as introducing players to their caddies.
  • Providing a thorough understanding of the rules of golf and the ability to coach and instruct golfers of all levels.

About you

Alongside your passion for providing world class service, you will be a highly motivated, detail oriented individual with excellent communication skills, and possess a strong desire to develop your career. 

Other attributes that would contribute to your success include:

  • Three or more years of leading, world-class golf experience, including at least two years of private golf club work experience within New Zealand.
  • Member of PGA or undertaking a PGA traineeship (or international equivalent).
  • Experience working in and managing a private golf club’s professional caddie program with a focus on luxury hospitality and customer service.
  • A thorough understanding of golf maintenance procedures is also required with three or more years’ experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various staff members.
  • Proven golfing ability and a thorough understanding of the game.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/public holidays.

This role will cover a minimum of 32 hours per week.
