Due to growth, we are looking for a SMT Operator to join our production team; both morning and afternoon shifts are available.

Position Purpose

Responsible for the setup and operation of the Surface Mount production lines. Ensure the SMT production meets production targets while simultaneously maintaining high quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

This role will see you taking responsibility for the following:

• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for product assembly
• Construct electronic assemblies using manual and automated (SMT) equipment
• Operation of Europlacer & Samsung SMT machines
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on SMT & Associated equipment.QC inspection
• Ensure safety and manufacturing standards are met

To be successful in the role applicants will require the following

• Minimum 1 year experience in electronics manufacturing
• Basic knowledge of electronics theory and practice
• Up-to-date knowledge of electronics manufacturing practices and standards
• Capable of soldering at a high level to industry accepted standards
• The ability to use and maintain electronic equipment
• Good technical and fault finding skills
• Computer skills for using manufacturing files, in-house ERP & databases
• Problem-solving skills
• Team player
