About the Role
ActivateUTS is seeking a creative and student-focused Clubs Communication Support Officer to support communication and engagement across our vibrant club network.
In this role, you will help create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and club communications while supporting stronger connections between club executives, members, and the broader student community. You’ll work closely with the Student Life team to ensure communications are clear, engaging, and aligned with the ActivateUTS brand and student experience.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
- Assist in creating and publishing engaging content across club communication channels, including Instagram and Discord
- Support the execution of social media campaigns and online engagement initiatives
- Monitor and respond to messages and comments in line with club guidelines
- Create clear, engaging, and student-focused written content
Newsletter & Club Communications
- Contribute to the creation and distribution of club newsletters and email communications
- Write and edit content to keep clubs informed about activities, opportunities, and updates
- Support communication between club executives and club members
Copywriting & Resource Development
- Assist in developing and updating club resources and communication materials
- Ensure content aligns with ActivateUTS branding, tone, and communication standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather accurate and relevant information for communications
Other Duties
- Support the Manager, Student Life (Clubs & Partnerships) and broader Student Life team as required
- Undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role
About You – Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to create clear and engaging messaging tailored to different audiences
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and meet deadlines
- Understanding of student engagement, university life, or community-focused programs
- Familiarity with communication guidelines, branding, and accessibility principles
Desirable:
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, or similar content creation tools
- Previous involvement in student clubs, societies, or university initiatives
