We are looking for an experienced and proactive Safety Advisor to support our Residential division. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high safety standards, enjoys working with diverse site teams, and is confident driving WHS initiatives across multiple projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Safety Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our sites operate safely and in line with legislation, internal systems, and industry best practice. You’ll work closely with Supervisors, Construction Managers, trades and subcontractors to provide guidance, support and hands on safety leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage WHS Management Systems, SWMS and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, audits and site inspections.
  • Provide WHS advice to site teams and senior leadership.
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
  • Review subcontractor safety documentation and training needs.
  • Identify hazards, assess risks and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Support continuous improvement of WHS processes and culture.
  • Participate in construction meetings and legislative updates.
  • Travel to sites as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate IV (or higher) in WHS.
  • Strong construction industry experience.
  • Solid understanding of WHS legislation, codes and standards.
  • Skilled in hazard identification, risk management and WHS systems.
  • High-level computer and mobile technology capability (iPad, iPhone, software platforms).
  • Excellent communication, organisation and report writing skills.
  • White Card, First Aid Certificate and valid driver’s licence.
  • Confident working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Energetic, solutions focused and committed to maintaining a safe workplace.
