The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) is the peak and professional body for nurses working in primary health care. About the role

  • This graphic designer role will support the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Engagement Manager, and the Communications Manager with the execution of APNA’s creative, marketing and communications strategies through high-quality visual design and brand-aligned collateral.ÌýÌý
  • The role is hybrid based in Melbourne (APNA’s head office is in the CBD).
  • FTE of 0.4, for a 1.0 FTE salary equivalent of $70,000 to $80,000 annually.

  • Design and produce a wide range of creative assets across print and digital channels including brochures, reports, event collateral, presentations, social media assets,ÌýeDMÌýgraphics, web banners,ÌýsignageÌýand promotional materials.Ìý
  • Create engaging digital advertising assets for Meta, Google Display Network, LinkedIn and other platforms, ensuring correct specifications,ÌýformatsÌýand performance-ready execution.Ìý
  • Develop motion-based creative assets including GIF and MP4 files for use across social media, campaigns,ÌýpresentationsÌýand digital channels.Ìý
  • Maintain and uphold APNA’s visual identity, ensuring all creative output is consistent, professional, on-brand and aligned to approved brand guidelines.Ìý
  • Prepare artwork files for print production and liaise with printers, suppliers and external agencies whereÌýrequired.Ìý
  • Support campaign execution through the development of creative concepts, layouts and collateral that align with strategicÌýobjectivesÌýand target audiences.Ìý
  • Manage and organise APNA’s creative asset library, templates, imageÌýresourcesÌýand design files to improve accessibility and consistency.Ìý
  • Provide advice to internal stakeholders on design best practice, branding, layout, userÌýexperienceÌýand creative solutions.Ìý
  • Work collaboratively across teams to manage multiple design requests,ÌýdeadlinesÌýand priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ìý

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, MultimediaÌýDesignÌýor related field.Ìý
  • 3+ years’ experience in an in-house, agency or freelance graphic design role.Ìý
  • Demonstrated experience designing across print, digital and campaign environments.Ìý
  • Experience creating assets for paid digital advertising campaigns.Ìý
  • Experience in membership, health or not-for-profit sectors would be highly regarded.Ìý
