Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all personnel are aware of and comply with company Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure all documentation, including checklists, daily production reports, timesheets, work permits, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), are completed accurately and submitted within required timeframes.
  • Identify plant and equipment maintenance issues and work with the Site Manager to coordinate timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure plant and equipment operations comply with EPA, NSW industry regulations, and local council requirements.
  • Assist with the commissioning of new plant and equipment and support its effective integration into routine operations.
  • Maintain high standards for site housekeeping to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor and manage production feed rates and product yields to achieve production targets and operational objectives.

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a recycling, waste management, or resource recovery environment.
  • Proven experience operating mobile plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong awareness of safe work practices when working around heavy plant and machinery.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Proven ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
