About the opportunity:Ìý

This is your opportunity to step into a dynamic ecology role with real variety,ÌýresponsibilityÌýand impact.Ìý

Ìý

You’llÌýwork across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a balanced mix of field and office work (approximately 50/50). From local surveys through to drive-in field programs and fly-in/fly-out projects, no two weeks look the same.Ìý

Ìý

In this role, you will:Ìý

  • Lead ecological projects fromÌýinitialÌýscope and client engagement through to deliveryÌýÌý
  • Plan,ÌýcoordinateÌýand deliver multi-disciplinary fauna and flora field surveysÌýÌý
  • Manage project timelines,ÌýbudgetsÌýand outcomes with a strong commercial focusÌýÌý
  • Apply your knowledge of environmental legislation to support approvals and complianceÌýÌý
  • Build andÌýmaintainÌýstrong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisorÌýÌý
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, impactÌýassessmentsÌýand approvals documentationÌýÌý

  • A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or similarÌýÌý
  • 3+ years’ experience delivering fauna and/or flora surveys in QLD (Brigalow Belt experience highly regarded)ÌýÌý
  • Strong understanding of relevant Commonwealth and State environmental legislationÌýÌý
  • Experience designing and delivering surveys within threatened species and ecological communitiesÌýÌý
  • Confidence preparing ecological reports and supporting approvals processesÌýÌý
  • Exposure to consulting environments, orÌýa strong desireÌýto build project management capabilityÌýÌý
