Biodiversity Australia is an Environmental Management Consultancy which brings an exciting opportunity in Conservation Land Management within southeast Queensland

We currently have an opportunity for aÌýVegetation Field Team LeaderÌýspecialising in Land Conservation/Bush Regeneration within the evolving industry of Land Restoration from our SEQ Base.Ìý

With numerous projects in Gold Coast and the surrounding regions, you will lead your team and deliver various aspects of land conservation and management including, weed monitoring and control, planting, native seed collection, ecological monitoring, pest management and equipment maintenance.Ìý

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in the following:

• Conservation Land Management Certificate III or higher (minimum) or tertiary degree or proven industry experience
• Experience in bush restoration techniques and identification of invasive and native plant species both
• Chemical application accreditation / ACDC Licence
• Experience with equipment operations such as pumps, chainsaws, brush-cutters etc.
• Experience with Fauna work i.e. Fauna Spotting and SurveysÌý(desirable, but not essential)
• Experience using data collection platforms
• Experience in leading teams and supporting positive and supportive team culture
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Demonstrated ability to follow and implement SWMS

• Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol Checks
• The capacity and willingness to occasionally work away when required
