Description

The Opportunity 

CBC Group is an agile Facilities Maintenance business with a national footprint. We currently have an opportunity for a commercially focused and proactive Facilities Manager. Leading the Reactive Maintenance team for one of their largest accounts, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing hundreds of work orders per month as well as some scheduled capital works.  You will have responsibility for a workforce of electricians, plumbers and building trades ensuring client SLA’s and KPI’s are being met, liaising with the client and ensuring the appropriate escalations happen when they need to. Additionally you will support the Account Manager with regular reporting.

About the Role:

  • Technical Expertise: Lead and manage all reactive maintenance across multiple Sydney metropolitan sites  
  • Trade Coordination: Manage and direct subcontractors and internal trades, ensuring they understand their specific deliverables and deadlines.
  • Operational Logic: Understand what maintenance needs triaging and which needs to be prioritised, adjusting schedules and resources as required
  • Safety & Quality: Ensure all team members are working to the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the bridge between the site and management, providing clear updates on progress and resolving issues as they arise.

 About You:

  • Technical Foundation: You must come from a technical trade background with a proven ability in managing FM accounts including budgets
  • Team Leadership Experience: Proven success in leading a team of trades ideally within a a facilities maintenance company.
  • High-Volume Expertise: You are comfortable operating in a highly reactive environment, prioritising and allocating resources under pressure
  • Professionalism: While you have a trade background, you possess the professional communication skills to liaise effectively with client representatives and our head office
