The role:

As the General Manager Corporate Services, you will be responsible for ensuring Community Gateway’s operations are sustainable and efficient by leading the Commercial, Finance and Information Technology functions to facilitate the provision of an optimum level of client service, fulfil statutory requirements and meet current and future organisational needs.

As a crucial member of the Community Gateway Leadership Team, you will contribute to the successful operation of the organisation as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring financial integrity across all aspects of the organisation
  • Manage all finance functions including accounting, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
  • Oversee the organisation’ vehicle fleet
  • Manage and monitor supplier relationships, contracts and associated providers.
  • Delivering timely and accurate financial reporting to the board and leadership team, providing a high level of financial analysis and support across the organisation
  • Compliance with legislation, accounting standards and external reporting requirements
  • A standout commitment to driving business efficiencies
  • Work with external provider to ensure IT systems are effective, efficient and integrated across the organisation
  • Ensuring the organisation’s corporate risks are understood and appropriately mitigated
  • Leading a team of five.
  • Maintaining constructive relationships within the organisation and with external stakeholders.

Essential:Ìý

  • CPA, CA or IPA full member qualified or eligibleÌý
  • Minimum of 5 years senior management experienceÌý
  • Exceptional financial management and systems skills
  • Knowledge of GST & FBT processes and requirements, particularly in the not-for-profit sector
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing efficiency improvements
  • High level of professional integrity andÌýstrong customer focus
  • High order problem-solving and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a skilled and engaged multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to attend board meetings outside normal business hours.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures and implement quality processesÌý
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to work, health and safety requirements

Desirable

  • Understanding of the Commonwealth Home Support, Support at Home and NDIS programs, compliance regimes and financial arrangements
  • Experience with Netsuite and AlayaCare or similar CRM
  • Experience in asset management
  • Previous experience in leading an IT strategy and managing an IT function
  • Not-for-profit experience

  • Current NDIS worker screening check.
