Join Cricket Victoria – We’re hiring a Part-Time Physical Performance Coach for our Cricket Performance team!
Cricket Victoria is the proud home of Victorian cricket. Based at the CitiPower Centre, you’ll work within a high performance environment alongside coaches, athletes and support staff committed to developing the next generation of Victorian cricket talent.
This part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute across pathway and state programs within a progressive, integrated high performance system, while providing flexibility for practitioners balancing other sporting, consulting or professional commitments.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Prescribe and implement strength and conditioning programs across Victorian High Performance Pathway squads
- Deliver fitness testing and athlete monitoring aligned with Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria protocols
- Support rehabilitation and injury management in collaboration with medical and SSSM staff
- Implement warm up, recovery and game-readiness protocols during training and competition
- Utilise athlete management systems and sports science data to support athlete development and performance outcomes
- Build strong relationships with athletes and coaches to support ongoing development and wellbeing
- Assist Victorian Women’s and Men’s State programs with physical performance support when required
- Support W/BBL programs including training support, monitoring and athlete preparation as needed
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing and athlete-centred environment across Cricket Victoria
About You
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within elite sport or high performance environments
- Experience working with elite athletes and/or youth pathway programs
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation, recovery and injury management principles
- Experience collecting and analysing physical performance data
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary high performance environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Exercise Science
- Current ASCA Level 1 qualification (minimum)
- ESSA Sports Scientist Accreditation (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Working with Children Check
