Digital61 is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive our expansion across the Queensland market.
This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven sales professional who knows how to navigate Queensland Government and enterprise environments, build trusted partnerships, and convert opportunity into long‑term value.
About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you will drive strategic growth across Queensland, with a strong focus on Public Sector and Enterprise customers.
You’ll own the full sales lifecycle, from market engagement and opportunity identification, through to pipeline development, bid support and account growth.
Working closely with Digital61 leadership and delivery teams, you’ll shape opportunities that align customer outcomes with Digital61’s strategic objectives.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Drive new business growth across Queensland Government and enterprise markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, procurement teams and partners
- Identify, qualify and progress opportunities through the full sales lifecycle
- Develop and execute a Queensland growth strategy aligned to Digital61’s broader objectives
- Represent Digital61 at industry events, forums and customer engagements
- Lead or support RFx, tender, panel and proposal submissions
- Collaborate with technical, delivery, cyber, cloud and managed services teams to shape solutions
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting, forecasting and pipeline management
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, focused on long‑term partnerships and outcomes
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in business development or technology sales within Government and/or enterprise markets
- Strong understanding of the Queensland market and procurement environment
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and generate new business opportunities
- Experience managing complex sales pursuits with multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self‑motivated, outcomes‑driven and comfortable working autonomously
- Experience selling technology, cyber security, cloud, managed services or professional services
- It would be desirable to have existing relationships within Queensland Government or enterprise organisations
- Familiarity with Government panels, RFx and tender processes
- Experience in fast‑growing technology or managed services environments
- People who are invested, accountable, and proud of what they deliverÂ
