About the role:Ìý

The House Lead – Disability Support Worker role supports and mentors a dedicated team of disability support workers. The roleÌýis responsible forÌýdeliveringÌýnew staffÌýtraining, as well as coordinating daily tasks, appointments, and meal planning. This is a people-focused role, with an emphasis on person-centred support.Ìý

What will I be doing?Ìý

Our House Lead- Disability Support Workers practice Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) and may beÌýrequiredÌýto are range of activities to support the effective support of our clients and house.ÌýÌýThis will include:Ìý

  • Effective Handovers
  • Medication management
  • Conducting daily house meetings
  • Management of house
  • Client meal planning
  • Planning social and community activities
  • Conduct shadow shifts with new DSWs, including emergency management training.

About youÌý

  • MinimumÌýCertificate IV Qualification in a relevant area such as Disability, Community Services, or Aged Care (highly desirable with nursing experience)Ìý
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening CheckÌý
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of excellenceÌý
  • Victorian driver’s licenceÌý
  • Full Australian working rightsÌý
