AIPT is seeking an exceptional Fitness Trainer and Assessor to lead the delivery of a premium face-to-face academy program for emerging fitness professionals in Sydney’s Northern Beaches region.Ìý

The successful candidate will playÌýa major roleÌýin shapingÌýstudent culture, professionalism, engagement, confidence, progression, and overall learner successÌýthroughout the academy journey.Ìý
This immersive delivery model includes the delivery and assessment of the following qualifications:Ìý
- SIS30321 Certificate III in FitnessÌý
- SIS40221 Certificate IV in FitnessÌý
The role involves leading two face-to-face academy delivery days each week, alongside broader responsibilities including:

- Student mentoring and progression supportÌý
- Practical gym-based facilitation and coachingÌý
- Theory and workshop deliveryÌý
- Assessment marking and meaningful student feedbackÌý(Face to face and online)Ìý
- Student engagement and correspondenceÌý
- Virtual tutorials and online learner supportÌý
- Session preparation and education planningÌý
- Collaboration with the education and leadership teamÌý
- Academic monitoring and learner intervention supportÌý
- Building a positive, high-energy learning cultureÌý
This position is being offered as 12month fixed TermÌýcontractÌýof 30+hrs weekly with the potential of becoming aÌýFull TimeÌýongoing role.Ìý

Experience & Skills RequiredÌý

- Demonstrated experienceÌýfacilitatingÌýengaging face-to-face learning experiencesÌý
- Proven ability to build strong learner relationships and student engagementÌý
- Strong understanding of learner support, motivation, and progression strategiesÌý
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the fitness, sport, recreation, or performance industryÌý
- Current industry experience andÌýdemonstratedÌýindustry currency within the past 12 monthsÌý
- Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skillsÌý
- Intermediate computer and digital learning platform skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteÌý
Highly Regarded:Ìý
- Experience within vocational education and training (VET)Ìý
- Experience delivering practical and theory-based educationÌýÌý
- Background in athlete development, strength & conditioning, coaching, or high-performance sportÌý
- Experience working within academy, school, or pathway-based education environmentsÌý
- Experience supporting diverse learners and building inclusive learning culturesÌý

- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent successor qualification)Ìý
