As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Trade Sales Representative to support customer relationships, drive sales growth, and contribute to branch performance across the business.
About the Role
The Trade Sales Specialist is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales growth and strengthening trade customer relationships across Glass Outlet’s product range.
This role is the first point of contact for many customers and plays a key role in supporting trade partners through product advice, sales transactions, quoting, and order management, while identifying opportunities to increase sales and grow customer accounts.
Working closely with branch operations, warehouse, and customer service teams, the Trade Sales Specialist is responsible for:
- Greeting and assisting customers in-store, delivering a high level of service and product knowledge
- Processing sales transactions, quotes, and customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Providing advice, solutions, and recommendations on products to meet customer requirements Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing trade customers while identifying new business opportunities
- Supporting customer enquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintaining store presentation, displays, and ensuring a clean, organised, and professional environment
- Contributing to sales growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets and promoting complete system solutions
This is a customer-focused and commercially driven role that directly contributes to branch performance, customer retention, revenue growth, and the overall success of Glass Outlet’s trade and branch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth & Business Development
- Drive business growth through active conversion of walk-in trade opportunities
- Identify and develop new trade accounts and business opportunities
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers to support ongoing projects and grow sales
- Promote Glass Outlet products and solutions to increase customer spend
Trade Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, installers, and fabricators
- Provide product advice and technical guidance to customers
- Deliver high levels of customer service and responsiveness
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and order enquiries
- Process orders accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to support delivery timelines
Branch Sales Performance
- Contribute to branch sales targets and revenue growth
- Maintain strong product knowledge across Glass Outlet’s product range
- Support promotional activities and product launches
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with branch operations, warehouse, and customer service teams
- Communicate customer feedback and market demand to the broader business
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across customer service and sales processes
About You
You will be a customer-focused and commercially minded individual with experience in
trade sales, customer service, retail trade environments, building products, construction, manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution industries
You enjoy building relationships, delivering solutions, and creating a positive customer experience while contributing to sales growth and branch performance.
This role may also suit someone with strong customer service or trade experience looking to transition into a more sales-focused role.
