Description

Gympie Radiology is the largest independently owned radiology clinic in the Wide Bay and Fraser Coast region. Doctor-owned, we are committed to delivering high quality imaging and patient-focused care by remaining at the forefront of new imaging techniques to benefit our doctors, referrers, and patients.

We need full-time and part-time Medical Imaging Receptionists to join our team in Gympie. We are a busy, professional and friendly practice, and our team goes above and beyond to give the greatest customer service to our patients every single day.

About the role

This is a multi-tasking, fast paced team player role, committed to providing knowledgeable and professional support for the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Duties

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Reception and general administration duties
  • Welcoming our patients and managing relevant paperwork
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments
  • Following up medical information with referrers, eg: GP’s, specialists and third parties
  • Working alongside our great team of radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and administration team
  • Invoicing patient visits and receipting payments
  • Other duties as directed

Candidate requirements

  • Radiology and medical experience highly desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of Medicare, third parties and workers compensation
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Believe in, and model great patient service with kindness, empathy and respect in a calm manner
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Enjoy a fast-paced practice
  • Good computer skills with MS Office an advantage
  • Can multi-task, working alone and in a team
  • Excellent communication skills with patients and team members
  • Able to take instructions/directions
  • Can prioritise workload
  • Takes pride in their work and themselves
  • The ability to work flexible hours
