THE ROLE

Based in our Cairns office, thisÌýProjectÌýManagerÌýrole will support the delivery of client-sideÌýprojects across a range of sectors including education, commercial, health, civic and urban development.

Working alongside experiencedÌýprojectÌýmanagement and engineering professionals, you’ll contribute toÌýprojects from early planning through to delivery, helping ensure outcomes are delivered smoothly, professionally and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop theirÌýprojectÌýmanagement capability within a growing national consultancy.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the delivery of client-sideÌýprojects across planning, design and construction phases
  • Build positive working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams
  • Assist with stakeholder coordination andÌýprojectÌýcommunication
  • Contribute toÌýprojectÌýplanning, programming, reporting and administration
  • Support procurement activities including consultant and contractor engagement
  • Assist with contract administration andÌýprojectÌýgovernance processes
  • Help manageÌýprojectÌýbudgets, forecasting and financial tracking
  • PrepareÌýprojectÌýdocumentation including scopes, proposals and procurement documents
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support successfulÌýprojectÌýdelivery
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused culture aligned with HK Values

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are an organised and motivatedÌýProjectÌýManagerÌý(or emergingÌýProjectÌýManager) with experience inÌýprojectÌýcoordination or delivery within the built environment. You’re looking to continue building your capability in a supportive and collaborative consultancy environment where you can take ownership, develop professionally and work on meaningfulÌýprojects.

You will be well suited to this role if you bring:

  • Experience inÌýprojectÌýmanagement,ÌýprojectÌýcoordination or contract administration within engineering, construction or the built environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confidence working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
  • An interest in client-sideÌýprojectÌýmanagement and professional consulting environments
  • A willingness to learn, grow and take on increasing responsibility over time

Experience that will set you apart includes:

  • Qualifications inÌýprojectÌýmanagement, engineering, construction or a related discipline
  • Experience working within a consultancy or professional services environment
  • Exposure to design coordination, contract administration or construction delivery
  • Familiarity withÌýprojectÌýbudgeting, reporting or procurement processes
  • Experience working across commercial, civic, health or educationÌýprojects
