Description

Ready to take the lead and make a real impact? We’re on the lookout for a Site Manager to join us at one of our key locations in Sydney. In this role, you’ll work closely with our National Installation and Service Manager and play a vital part in driving operational excellence, service delivery and compliance.

You’ll have the autonomy to lead your site, ensuring safety, quality, timelines and cost targets are met – while achieving DIFOT (Delivered in Full, On Time) for our stakeholders.

Main accountabilities

  • Lead the installation team and service specialist, overseeing fit-outs and integration of service bodies onto light commercial vehicles and small trucks and after-sales service.
  • Maintain high standards in Lean processes and methods.
  • Provide feedback and ideas for continuous improvement—challenge the status quo with innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic plans for scalable service and product improvements.
  • Ensure quality control processes are completed and documented to Hiway standards.
  • Analyse and implement efficient production and manufacturing processes, including reporting to keep customers informed.
  • Manage daily production reporting and ensure safe, consistent delivery.
  • Oversee site assets, compliance and scheduled stocktakes.
  • Work closely with the National Supply Chain team to align procurement and stores with national processes.
  • Partner with People & Culture for any personnel or industrial relations matters.
  • Ensure site compliance with all regulatory obligations (HSEQ) and act as the point of contact for authorities.
  • Drive Right First Time (RFT) principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Promote 5S principles (Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain).
  • Support the service specialist in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Manage site facility maintenance and upkeep of assets, infrastructure and equipment.

Minimum requirements (qualifications and experience)

  • Trade qualification (mechanical or electrical minimum)
  • Tertiary qualifications desirable but not essential
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to work as part of a team
  • 5+ years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, safely leading a workforce
  • Solid financial acumen
