Responsibilities include:Ìý
- PerformÌýaerodynamicÌýand aerothermal analyses for hypersonic vehicles using analytical methods, design tools and high-fidelity CFD.Ìý
- Build andÌýmaintainÌýaerodynamic and thermal databases that underpin vehicle performance and design decisions.Ìý
- Develop and refine aerothermodynamic models, advancing capability across complex design challenges.Ìý
- Collaborate across multidisciplinaryÌýengineeringÌýteams to ensure vehicle performance and thermal protection systems meetÌýdesignÌýrequirements.Ìý
- Drive innovation by contributing toÌýnew technologies,ÌýmethodsÌýand process improvements in hypersonic design.Ìý

WhatÌýyou’llÌýbringÌý
To hit the ground running in this role,Ìýyou’llÌýneed:Ìý
- Bachelor’sÌýdegree in aerospace engineering or equivalent, with a strong focus in fluids.Ìý
- 3+ years of experience inÌýsupersonic or hypersonicÌýflow physics, such as aerodynamic or thermodynamic analysis.Ìý
- Strong understandingÌýof fluidÌýdynamics, boundary layer theory, and heat transfer principles.Ìý
- A proven ability to apply analytical and low-fidelity models to solve engineering problems.Ìý
- Strong technical background in CFD solvers, especially STAR-CCM+, including RANS and Euler simulations.Ìý
- Experience with hypersonic researchÌýand development,ÌýandÌýnewÌýtechnologies.Ìý
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ìý
- Strong initiative and willingnessÌýto tackleÌýcomplex problems.Ìý
- Ability to obtain any applicable security clearance or background checks.Ìý
