The OpportunityÌý

´¡²õÌý²¹ÌýGNCÌýEngineer II,Ìýyou’llÌýtake ownership ofÌýguidance,ÌýnavigationÌýand control engineering ofÌýHypersonixÌýflight vehicles.ÌýYou’llÌýdevelop and verifyÌýGNC algorithms, building andÌýmaintainingÌýphysics-based vehicle simulation models, and support integration and test of GNC subsystems through development,ÌýqualificationÌýand flight.ÌýYou’llÌýbe a key member of theÌýteam,Ìýdelivering onÌýcomplex projects as well asÌýproviding mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.Ìý

WhatÌýyou’llÌýbe doingÌý

Responsibilities include:Ìý

  • Design,ÌýtuneÌýand verify GNC algorithms across all mission phasesÌý– boost, separation, glide,ÌýcruiseÌýÌý
  • Develop and evolve high-fidelity 6‑DoF simulation models to support algorithm validation and flight software integrationÌýÌý
  • Conduct Monte Carlo and sensitivity analyses to ensure performance and robustness under uncertaintyÌýÌý
  • Lead and execute MIL, SIL and HIL test campaigns, defining scenarios,ÌýinstrumentationÌýand success criteriaÌýÌý
  • Integrate and characterise navigation sensors (IMU, GNSS, air data, optical), including calibration and alignmentÌýÌý
  • Analyse and correlate flight and test data with simulation, continuously improving model accuracy and confidenceÌýÌý
  • Own GNC requirements and engineering deliverables, contributing toÌýICDsÌýand ensuring audit-ready documentationÌýÌý
  • Support integration, anomalyÌýresolutionÌýand design reviews, influencing key engineering decisionsÌý

  • Bachelor’s degree inÌýaerospace engineering,Ìýelectrical engineering,ÌýmechatronicsÌýor a related engineering fieldÌýÌý
  • 5+ years’ experience in GNC, control systems, flightÌýdynamicsÌýor vehicle simulation in aerospace/defenceÌýÌý
  • Strong grounding in control theory, estimation (Kalman filtering)Ìýand 6‑DoF modellingÌýÌý
  • Hands-onÌýexpertiseÌýwith MATLAB/Simulink for control design,ÌýsimulationÌýand auto-code generationÌýÌý
  • ProficiencyÌýin C/C++ (or similar) for embedded or flight-critical softwareÌýÌý
  • ProvenÌýtrack recordÌýdeveloping and validating control laws through MIL/SIL/HIL testingÌýÌý
  • Solid understanding of systems engineering processes within regulated or high-reliability environmentsÌýÌý
