Keystone Civil – a boutique civil construction firm specialising in road projects, renewables, and pipeline works is seeking a Project Engineer. Founded in 2013, we have built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects while staying true to our core values: CAN DO, CONNECTED, and COMMITTED. As a Project Engineer at Keystone Civil, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects across the road, renewables, and pipeline sectors. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring project progress, and ensuring works are delivered in line with safety, environmental, quality, and commercial requirements. Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, this role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving, technical coordination, and stakeholder communication. You will contribute to driving productivity, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will:
- Provide engineering support to Project leads and Site Supervisors for construction activities
- Manage, plan, schedule and allocate resources to projects
- Ensure the program is tracked and updated weekly
- Assist the Project Manager with Procurement Plans
- Be the champion of the Quality Management Plan
- Ensure that all sub-contractors and suppliers are engaged in accordance with the Procurement Plan
- Review daily diaries from the Supervisors and ensure they capture any conversations with the client or sub-contractors that may have an impact to program cost/risk
About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, construction management or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role on projects such as Road construction, Water/sewer infrastructure, land development, earthworks etc.
- A strong focus on quality, safety and the environment
- Meticulous documentation and organisational skills
- Be self-motivated with a positive teamwork ethos and attitude
- Great time management, with the ability to manage budgets and track production
