About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Indemnity Claims Advisor to join our Claims Experience team. This is a unique opportunity for a legally trained or claims professional with experience in medical indemnity, insurance or health law who is looking for meaningful and diverseÌýwork.

In this role, you will support our members through a wide range of matters, from providing earlyÌýadviceÌýand careÌýthrough to managing complex orÌýlitigated claims. You will play a key role in guiding outcomes that are fair, balanced and in the best interests of our members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear advice to members on medical indemnity and healthcare-related claims matters
  • Ensure members feel supported through the claims process
  • Develop proactive claims management strategies to support optimal outcomes
  • Guide and contribute to settlement strategy, dispute resolution and negotiation processes
  • Manage a complex and varied caseload, ensuring high-quality and accurate case management
  • Attend mediations, settlement conferences and stakeholder meetings in support of members
  • Build trusted relationships with members, legal representatives and internal stakeholders

About You

You bring experience in medical indemnity, insurance claims, legal practice or a regulatory environment and you are comfortable navigating complex and sensitive matters.

You will also have:

  • Experience managing a complex caseload with competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of personal injury, health, employment or insurance law
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence in negotiation and influencing outcomes
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and member-focused approach

This role will particularly appeal to private practice lawyers who enjoy health or insurance law but are seeking a more balanced, purpose-led environment without billable hour pressure.
