Make a Real Impact in a Supported Independent Living HomeÌý

Zenn Ability is currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting participants in aÌýSupported Independent Living (SIL) home in Western Sydney.Ìý

This role is suited to support workers who haveÌýhands-on experience in SIL environments or supporting participants with complex behavioursÌýand who are confident working within structured routines and behaviour support plans.Ìý

Our participants benefit most fromÌýreliable, consistent workers who can build strong rapport and work well within a team-based environment.Ìý

About the RoleÌý

You will be supporting participants with daily living activities, personal care, community access, andÌýmaintainingÌýstructured routines within the home.Ìý

The current shifts available require the successful candidate to be available for the following shifts: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 5:00pm – 9:00am.

Key ResponsibilitiesÌý

  • Supporting participants with personal care and daily living tasksÌý
  • Encouraging independence and life skills developmentÌý
  • Supporting community access and social engagementÌý
  • Following behaviour support plans and structured routinesÌý
  • Completing progress notes and documentationÌý
  • Working collaboratively with other support workers in the homeÌý

About YouÌý

To be successful in this role, you will have:Ìý

  • Minimum 6 months experience working in a SIL house or supporting participants with complex behavioursÌý
  • Confidence working within structured environments and behaviour support plansÌý
  • Availability to work across a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shiftsÌý
  • Ability to workÌýa minimum 6-hour shiftÌýacross the roster whenÌýrequiredÌýFlexibility to workÌýweekends and public holidaysÌý

  • Working with Children Screening CheckÌý
  • NDIS Worker Screening CheckÌý
  • Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID011)Ìý
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicleÌýwith comprehensive insuranceÌý
