About the role:
Join our Brisbane team and play a key role in shaping a winning rental and product strategy that positions NPE as the top choice in the industry! We’re looking for a dynamic leader based in Meadowbrook to drive operational excellence, maximize business potential, and ensure we exceed market expectations. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build a thriving, independent business unit while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and services, efficiently, safely, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations including rentals, returns, and logistics
- Ensure equipment availability, readiness, and efficient turnaround
- Maintain high standards for safety, housekeeping, and compliance
- Monitor fleet utilisation rates and idle equipment
- Manage the branch P&L and control operating costs (labour, repairs, transport, overheads)
- Monitor budget performance, margins, and KPIs
- Lead, coach, and develop operations, and workshop teams
- Foster a safety-first and customer-focused culture
- Availability to accept emails and calls after standard reasonable hours to deal with business-critical issues determined by the employer
- Manage external contractor requirements and ensure mandatory policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented
- Assist in the development and management of business processes and tool
- Continually promote company values, policies and procedures in a positive light and lead by example

Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Strong experience in a similar position
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and plant range, or similar transferable knowledge
- Highly developed and recognisable communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Proven ability to manage outcomes and expectations with senior business leaders and key stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships
- Proven leadership ability to develop, empower and motivate employees to obtain the required

- Experience managing P&L and budgets
- Friendly, outgoing and professional demeanour
- Results driven, solutions focused and highly organised
- Strong analytical capability
- A demonstratable business acumen, with the ability to operate in a highly entrepreneurial manner
