CEREMONIES & PRODUCTION MANAGER (SYDNEY BASED)

As we mark Netball Australia’s centenary, we’re building a tournament that champions inclusion, empowerment, and innovation, both on and off the court.
The Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 is now seeking a dynamic and experienced Ceremonies and Production Manager to lead the design and delivery of world-class event presentation across tournament venues. This is a rare opportunity to shape the atmosphere, energy, and fan journey at one of the world’s premier sporting events.
About the Role
Reporting to the Venue Operations Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of ceremonies,
sports presentation, and fan experience, ensuring a seamless and engaging environment for athletes, fans, partners, and stakeholders. You will work across multiple venues and collaborate closely with contractors, broadcasters, government agencies, and internal teams to bring the tournament to life. In the role you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of ceremonies, sports presentation, and fan experience
- Develop and manage production schedules, run sheets, and operational plans
- Partner with venues, suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure flawless execution
- Create engaging, inclusive, and fan-centric experiences across all touchpoints
- Manage production budgets, procurement processes, and vendor contracts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, broadcast, and competition teams
- Support recruitment and deployment of event staff and volunteers
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure event readiness and operational excellence
ÌýWhat You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience delivering major sporting or entertainment events
- Strong background in event production, operations, or ceremonies delivery
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholders, including international federations and government
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, vendors, and timelines
- Confidence leading teams and coordinating large-scale workforces/volunteers
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within Australian venues (highly regarded)

Reporting into the Venue Operations Manager, this full-time role will be based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September 2027. Given the unique nature of the
sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of Netball HQ and traditional office hours may be required from time to time. Our teams work flexibly, and we encourage the successful applicant to discuss flexible working options with their new
