About Network Steel

Network Steel is a growing steel manufacturing and processing business servicing the domestic and residential housing industry. As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Planning Administrator to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the Transport and Planning Manager, this role provides administrative support across production planning and operations. You will assist with coordinating production schedules, maintaining accurate system data, and supporting the day-to-day administration of manufacturing activities to ensure smooth operational outcomes.

This is a newly created role, which will evolve as the team grows into the new facility in Stapylton. This position is also ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong organisational skills, and is looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing and operations.

Please note:This position is currently based at our Cleveland facility. As part of our continued growth, Network Steel will be relocating to a new purpose-built facility in Stapylton in December 2026. Applicants should be comfortable transitioning to the new location when the move occurs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Operations and Production Planning teams
  • Assist with maintaining daily and weekly production schedules and updating planning information as required
  • Enter and maintain accurate data within the internal system and other reporting tools
  • Coordinate production paperwork and ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Respond to a high volume of emails and enquiries from internal stakeholders and customers
  • Liaise with production, sales, logistics, and other departments to support efficient workflow and communication
  • Monitor and update production status information and assist with resolving scheduling or administrative issues
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and operational documentation as required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and general operational administration
  • Maintain compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements and company procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in administration, operations support, production administration, scheduling support, or a similar role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administration
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
  • Experience within manufacturing, construction, logistics, or an industrial environment will be highly regarded but not essential
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred
