Network SteelÌýisÌýseekingÌýan experienced and proactive Safety Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety systems across our operations.Ìý
Based full-time at our Cleveland QLD site,ÌýworkingÌýacrossÌývarious sites (Cleveland, Stapylton, Morningside, Kunda Park),Ìýyou will play a key role in embedding a strong, accountable safety culture while ensuring effective risk management and compliance across the business.Ìý
Reporting to the Head of HRÌý& Safety, you will partner closely with leaders to strengthen safety capability, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our people go home safe to their families every day.Ìý

Key ResponsibilitiesÌý
Safety Systems Design & Continuous ImprovementÌý
- Design, implement, and continuously improve integrated safety management systemsÌý
- Establish standards, procedures, and controls aligned with operational risk profilesÌý
- Monitor system effectiveness through audits, data analysis, and feedback loopsÌý
Ìý
Safety Culture & Leadership DevelopmentÌý
- Develop and implement initiatives that build a proactive and high-performing safety cultureÌý
- Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen safety capability and accountabilityÌý
- Promote visible leadership and engagement across all levelsÌý
Ìý
Incident Management & Risk OversightÌý
- Oversee incident management processes including reporting, investigation, and corrective actionsÌý
- Support and guide leaders to ensure quality and consistency in investigationsÌý
- Analyse incident trends and risk data to inform preventative strategiesÌý
Ìý
Compliance & GovernanceÌý
- Ensure compliance with all relevant OHS/WHS legislation and standardsÌý
- Manage audits, inspections, and regulatory interactionsÌý
- ProvideÌýexpert advice on compliance obligations and organisational riskÌý

Key CriteriaÌý
Essential:Ìý
- Proven experience in safety management systems design and implementationÌý
- Strong knowledge of OHS/WHS legislation and regulatory frameworksÌý
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and develop leaders at all levelsÌý
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilityÌý
- Experience in incident investigation (ICAM) and risk managementÌý
- Experience with developing safety initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsÌý
Desirable:Ìý
- Experience within manufacturing or heavy industry environmentsÌý
- Experience working across operational environments
