Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Administrator. The successful candidate will provide professional front-line customer service to community members and clients, including support with Post Office and Centrelink services. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and administrative tasks in a busy service environment.
Responsibilities
Customer Service and Front Counter Support

Provide professional front counter customer service to community members and clients.
Respond to enquiries in person, by phone, email or other communication channels in a timely and professional manner.
Provide accurate information about organisational services and assist customers with general enquiries.
Resolve customer issues and complaints respectfully and escalate where required.
Maintain respectful and culturally appropriate interactions with all clients and community members.
Post Office Services

Provide front counter postal services including processing parcels, registered mail, postage purchases and general postal enquiries.
Assist customers with parcel tracking, delivery enquiries and postal service information.
Process outgoing and incoming mail in accordance with Australia Post procedures.
Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Centrelink Support Services

Provide assistance to community members accessing Centrelink services through the service centre.
Support clients with completing forms, accessing online services and understanding available support services.
Provide guidance on Centrelink processes and refer clients to appropriate channels where required.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling personal or sensitive information.
Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate customer records, files and documentation.
Assist with data entry, correspondence and general administrative tasks.
Support daily office operations including document preparation and record keeping.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery to clients.
Maintain knowledge of organisational services and community programs.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in customer service, administration or community service roles (1–2 years preferred).
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with community members from diverse backgrounds is desirable.
