Working across multiple client tenants, the role moves between project delivery and escalated support – designing and improving modern workplace platforms that span identity, devices, collaboration,ÌýsecurityÌýand compliance.Ìý

About the roleÌý

Responsibilities:ÌýÌý

Microsoft 365 Administration & OperationsÌý

• Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 across multiple client tenants, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online,ÌýOneDriveÌýand Microsoft Teams.Ìý
• Maintain the health,ÌýperformanceÌýand configuration of client environments,ÌýmonitoringÌýservice health and acting on issues proactively.Ìý
• MaintainÌýaccurateÌýconfiguration baselines,ÌýdocumentationÌýand runbooks for each client environment.Ìý
• Manage change in line with governance and ITIL processes, ensuring changes are well-tested and clearly communicated.Ìý
• Monitor licensing, capacity and adoption, recommending cost and end-user experience improvements whereÌýappropriate.Ìý

Identity & Access ManagementÌý

• Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, single sign-on, MFA and privileged access controls.Ìý
• Implement andÌýmaintainÌýidentity governance aligned to each client’s security posture and regulatory obligations.Ìý
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex authentication,ÌýaccessÌýand directory synchronisation issues across client environments.Ìý
• Ensure identity configurations are consistent, well-documented and aligned toÌýNovigi’sÌýplatform standards.Ìý

Endpoint & Device ManagementÌý

• Engineer device management and provisioning with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot at scale.Ìý
• Build andÌýmaintainÌýcompliance,ÌýconfigurationÌýand application deployment policies across managed devices.Ìý
• Support and improve the end-user device experience, reducing friction and manual effort wherever possible.Ìý
• Resolve complex endpoint issues escalated from the service desk across Windows and, where applicable, macOS and mobile.Ìý

Security & ComplianceÌý

• Implement andÌýmonitorÌýsecurity controls using Microsoft Defender, ConditionalÌýAccessÌýand Microsoft Secure Score.Ìý
• Configure andÌýmaintainÌýcompliance capability in Microsoft Purview, including data loss prevention,ÌýretentionÌýand sensitivity labels.Ìý
• Align modern workplace configurations to client regulatory obligations, including APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230 where relevant.Ìý
• IdentifyÌýand remediate security and configuration risks across client tenants.Ìý
• Contribute to incident response and post-incident improvement for modern workplace security events.Ìý

Project Delivery & Client EngagementÌý

• Deliver Microsoft 365 projects across multiple clients – migrations, service rollouts, tenantÌýconfigurationÌýand modern workplace transformations.Ìý
• Scope and plan work with client stakeholders, communicating clearly and managing expectations throughout delivery.Ìý
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating client needs into practical, well-governed modern workplace solutions.Ìý
• Manage competing priorities and context-switch effectively across multiple client environments.Ìý
• Document and hand over delivered work so it can be supported consistently by the wider team.Ìý
• Build strong working relationships with client IT and business contacts across engagements.Ìý

Automation & Continuous ImprovementÌý

• Build automation and reduce manual effort using PowerShell, MicrosoftÌýGraphÌýand the Power Platform.Ìý
• IdentifyÌýopportunities to standardise and streamline modern workplace delivery across clients.Ìý
• Contribute to the continuous improvement ofÌýNovigi’sÌýstandards,ÌýtoolingÌýand ways of working.Ìý

Technical Escalation & QualityÌý

• Act as anÌýescalation point for complex modern workplace incidents across clients.Ìý
• Maintain a high standard of quality in the configurations and solutionsÌýNovigiÌýdelivers andÌýoperates.Ìý
• Share knowledge and mentor service desk and support colleagues to lift overall team capability.Ìý

Skills and experienceÌý

Education and Experience:Ìý

• Three or more years engineering and supporting Microsoft 365 inÌýmanaged serviceÌýenvironments.Ìý
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online,ÌýTeamsÌýand SharePoint Online.Ìý
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance tooling, including Defender, ConditionalÌýAccessÌýand Purview.Ìý
• ProficiencyÌýin PowerShell scripting and familiarity with Microsoft Graph for automation and reporting.Ìý
• Experience with Windows Autopilot and modern device provisioning at scale.Ìý
• Ability to manage competing priorities and context-switch across multiple client environments.Ìý
• Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical decisions to varied audiences.Ìý
• Prior experience in an MSP,ÌýconsultancyÌýor multi-tenant environment (highly regarded).Ìý
• Exposure to Azure infrastructure, hybrid identity (Microsoft Entra Connect)Ìýand the Power Platform.Ìý
• Familiarity with regulated-industry frameworks such as APRA CPS 234 / CPS 230, ISO 27001 or the Essential Eight, and relevant Microsoft certifications (highly regarded).Ìý

Role BoundariesÌý

• Accountable for:ÌýThe quality, security and consistency of the Microsoft 365 environments engineered and supported across assigned clients; spanning identity, device, collaboration,ÌýsecurityÌýand compliance configuration and the resolution of complex escalated issues.Ìý
• Not accountable for: Direct people management, ownership of client commercial relationships and contracts, managed service SLA ownership, or the day-to-day running of the service desk (these sit with the relevant leads and managers).Ìý
