VEHICLE WHOLESALER

We are seeking a motivated, commercially savvy Vehicle Wholesaler to join our growing automotive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the used vehicle market, and knows how to turn stock quickly and profitably.

About the Role

As a Vehicle Wholesaler, you will be responsible for the acquisition, pricing, and disposal of used vehicle stock through dealer networks, auctions, trade channels, and wholesale buyers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring stock turns efficiently while maximising profitability and maintaining strong market relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase quality used vehicles aligned with business requirements
  • Manage wholesale disposal of aged, unsuitable, or excess stock
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, auction houses, buyers, and industry contacts
  • Accurately assess vehicle market values, desirability, and reconditioning viability
  • Negotiate purchase and sale transactions to maximise margin and stock turn
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing movements, and buyer demand
  • Work closely with retail sales, procurement, and operations teams to align inventory strategy
  • Manage stock ageing and identify opportunities for rapid disposal
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, vehicle documentation, and transaction accuracy

About You

You are a commercially driven automotive professional who understands how the wholesale market works and can make quick, confident decisions.

You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience in vehicle wholesale, used car buying, automotive remarketing, or dealership stock management
  • Strong knowledge of current used vehicle market trends and valuations
  • Established industry relationships and buyer networks (highly regarded)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on profit and stock efficiency
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a broader team
  • High attention to detail and administrative accuracy
  • A current driver’s licence
