The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager – Organics, the Operations Supervisor ÌýLandscape is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Bark & Mulch and Soil Yard at our Epping site.
You will lead the frontline operations team, ensuring safe work practices, maintaining product quality, managing stockpiles and supporting efficient production across bark, mulch, compost and soil blending operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with experience in landscaping products, organics, recycling, waste, manufacturing, quarrying or similar industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily Bark & Mulch and Soil Yard operations
- Lead, coach and support team members and contractors
- Maintain safe work practices and manage fire risk controls onsite
- Oversee grinding, screening, blending and stockpile management processes
- Monitor product quality, stock levels and production targets
- Coordinate daily toolbox talks and support operator training
- Ensure housekeeping standards and equipment pre-starts are completed daily
- Coordinate maintenance requirements and liaise with internal teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Complete operational reporting, stocktake and KPI tracking
About You
- Experience in a Supervisor or Leading Hand role within organics, landscaping products, recycling, manufacturing, waste or similar industries
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Safety-focused with the ability to lead by example
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Experience operating or working around mobile plant
- Loader and/or Excavator ticket highly regarded
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
