Your opportunity
Due to continued growth and exciting project wins, CNFiTech is seeking versatile and adaptable engineers (Senior Electrical Design Engineer and Electrical Design Engineer) who thrive in dynamic environments. You will have the opportunity to contribute across diverse markets and landmark projects, building a broad skillset and accelerating your career in ways that a single-sector role simply cannot offer. This role involves leading the design aspects of projects, including generating calculations and creating sketches that CAD drafters can refine into formal drawings.
This opportunity at times will see you step into Project Management duties, particularly for smaller contracts, further broadening your skillset, where you’ll undertake and deliver the Project Management duties, from delivery of the project’s technical and commercial aspects.
Duties include:
- Input to, and preparation and review of, tenders and proposals, and ensuring technical compliance of design works.
- Interpretation of project requirements and preparation of calculations and sketches.
- Project set-up upon award, including server file structure and BillQuick set-up
- Provide leadership, mentoring and technical support for all engineering team members especially younger, less experienced members. Assessing and organising training required to maintain and develop their skills.
- Efficiently working across software packages such as SKM PowerTools and PowerCAD.
- Keeping abreast of latest industry developments and statutory requirements in the nominated field.
About you
As an experienced Senior or Junior Electrical Engineer bringing extensive design experience working on electrical projects. We are also looking for talent who can bring or possess the following:
- A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and has obtained or currently working towards CP Eng, NER and RPEQ following completion of your degree qualification.
- Holds a Construction White Card, MIEAust.
- Experience with PowerCad modelling software, and Dialux lighting modelling software high advantageous.
- PLC and SCADA programming package experience is highly favourable.
- Experience with high voltage design experience is also favourable.
