The opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting the CFO and leading the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and continuous improvement across systems and processes.
You’ll play a key role in providing financial insights that support business decision-making while managing and developing an offshore finance team.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Financial Reporting & Control
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and deliver management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Oversee financial consolidations and maintain data integrity
- Manage statutory compliance (ATO, ASIC, audit, banking requirements)
- Strengthen internal controls and identify improvement opportunities
- Take ownership of offshore team output to ensure quality and deadlines are met
- Planning & Business Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Provide financial insights to support operational and commercial decisions
- Assist in preparing reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders
- Systems & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements across financial processes
- Enhance reporting capabilities across Xero, Power BI, and related systems
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives
- Evaluate systems and tools to support business growth
- Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a small offshore finance team
About You
- CA or CPA qualified
- 3–6 years’ experience in finance or accounting (Big 4 experience highly regarded)
- Experience in a fast-paced or PE-backed environment is advantageous
- Strong experience with Xero; exposure to Power BI or similar tools
- Experience working with offshore or shared services teams
- High attention to detail with strong accountability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into insights
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, organised, self-motivated and self-driven.
