What would your day-to-day look like?
As anÌýInvestment AccountantÌýyou’llÌýwork closely with theÌýInvestment AccountingÌýManager toÌýmanage critical investment operations, financial reporting, and trust accounting.ÌýYou’llÌýplay a vital role in providingÌýaccurateÌýfinancial analysis, performance reporting, and insights that contribute to ourÌýorganisation’sÌýcontinued success.

About Us

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operationsÌýwithin our 18ÌýinvestmentÌýportfoliosÌýÌýÌý
- Prepare monthlyÌýand quarterlyÌýfinancial statements and performance reporting packs, including profit & loss, balance sheetÌýreconciliationsÌýand cash flow forecastingÌý
- Process investment transactions,Ìýincluding distributions, redemptions,ÌýassetÌýdisposalsÌýand asset acquisitionsÌý
- AssistÌýwith investor enquiriesÌý
- Monitor capital expenditure against budgets and maintenance of capital expenditure and fixed asset registersÌý
- Monitor debt facilities, ensuring compliance of ICR, LVR and any other conditions of the debt facilitiesÌý
- Coordinate and prepare Covenant Compliance reporting for debt facilitiesÌý
- Prepare BAS lodgements on a monthly or quarterly basisÌý
- ReviewÌýannual financial statements andÌýtax returns for theÌýinvestmentÌýtrusts.Ìý
- EnsureÌýaccurateÌýandÌýtimelyÌýNAV calculations for investment trustsÌý
- Prepare trust budgets and cashflow forecasts.ÌýÌý
- AssistÌýwith external audit preparations for investment trustsÌý
- Monitor compliance with investment mandate requirementsÌý
- Liaise with property managers, external stakeholders, and service providersÌý
- IdentifyÌýand implement process improvements for investment accounting functionsÌýÌý
- SupportÌýthe Investment Accounting Manager, Financial Controller and CFO with ad-hoc queriesÌý
Are you someone with?
- Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accountingÌý
- CPA/CA qualificationÌý
- PreviousÌýexperience inÌýInvestmentÌýAccounting,ÌýFundÌýAccounting, UnitÌýPricingÌýor Investment OperationsÌý
- ExperienceÌýin MRI Property Software (desirable)Ìýand XeroÌýÌý
- Excellent attention to detailÌý
- Advanced Excel skills and financialÌýmodellingÌýcapabilitiesÌý
- Exceptional stakeholderÌýmanagement skillsÌýwithÌýthe ability to influence decision makingÌý
- Knowledge of property investment structures and trust accountingÌý
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilitiesÌý
- Excellent time management skillsÌý
- Critical thinking and the ability to look at problems from different anglesÌý
- Exceptional attention to detail andÌýorganisationalÌýskillsÌý
