As our business continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded People & Culture Manager to help strengthen leadership capability, workforce sustainability, culture, and organisational performance across the business.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the People & Culture Manager will lead both the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the P&C function across the business.

You will partner closely with leaders to strengthen workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, engagement, and organisational performance while ensuring strong operational foundations across recruitment, employee relations, systems, compliance, and workforce planning.

This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who enjoys operating both strategically and operationally within a dynamic manufacturing environment, balancing day-to-day HR Operations with longer-term workforce planning and cultural initiatives.

As Sharpe operates across multiple locations, occasional travel to our Roma site will form part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and ensuring compliance in alignment with employee legislation.

• Partner with leaders to strengthen leadership capability and team performance

• Lead workforce planning, capability development, and succession initiatives

• Drive recruitment and workforce sustainability strategies across operational and technical roles

• Provide trusted advice on employee relations, performance, and workplace matters

• Improve engagement, retention, and employee experience initiatives

• Lead continuous improvement across P&C systems, processes, and reporting

• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industrial instruments, and organisational policies

• Lead a small P&C team, including a Training & Development Coordinator and People & Culture Coordinator.

• Strengthen people data, workforce insights, and reporting capability

• Support a high-performance culture aligned to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

About You

You are a confident, empathetic, and pragmatic People & Culture professional who can build credibility across both leadership and operational teams.

You bring:

• Experience in a senior HR or People & Culture leadership role

• Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and ER practices

• Experience in blue-collar environments within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, resources, or operational environments is desirable

• The ability to influence, coach, and partner effectively with leaders

• A proactive and commercially balanced approach

• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience improving systems (91±¬ÁÏ would be a plus), processes, and organisational capability

• The ability to move comfortably between strategic initiatives and operational delivery
