About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our high-performing Industrial sales team in Jandakot, Western Australia.
In this role you will identify your own leads and build relationships to become a trusted partner for the disposal of surplus equipment across categories such as transport, construction, earthmoving, agriculture, and engineering. You will also be provided with a warm book of leads and repeat clients to help you hit the ground running.

Your Responsibilities
- Own a dedicated large region surrounding Jandakot involving regular face-to-face site meetings
- Work through a mix of high-volume cold calls and warm leads including repeat and dormant accounts to ensure all possible sales opportunities are identified
- Assess potential partners, perform competitive research, evaluate proposed deals and partnerships, and develop business cases for new business targets
- Be the lead point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while providing exceptional customer service
- Build strong professional relationships within your local and national team
- Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure budget, KPIs, and KPAs are being met
- Utilise strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills to secure and close new business
- Plan and execute local sales strategies, proposals, and presentations
- Weekly travel is required to execute your goals in this role
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has
- Proven sales ability with a track record of overachievement, successfully growing market share, and closing large dollar deals
- Market knowledge and/or existing relationships across industrial categories such as transport, earthmoving, construction, and manufacturing
- Auction experience – directly employed or indirectly through trading or customer engagement -is essential
- Ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into complete solutions
- Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and high-growth environment
- A flexible and adaptable mindset in a constantly evolving business and market environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
