Position OverviewÌý

This is a senior operational role supporting site leadership and reporting to the Operations Manager.Ìý

As Senior Operations Coordinator, you are accountable for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of the site, ensuring customer requirements, safety standards and business targets are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in workforce planning, team capability, and operational execution.Ìý

This roleÌýoperatesÌýwithin a 24/7 shift-based environment, working a structured roster averaging 42 hours per week (7 x 12-hourÌýDayÌýshifts per fortnight).ÌýDuring Off Peak Season (April-September) hours may be more aligned to M-F working.ÌýYou will leadÌýday and night shift teamsÌýasÌýrequired, ensuring consistent operational performance and leadership presence across all hours of operation.

WhatÌýYou’llÌýBe Doing:Ìý

This role is hands-on and leadership focused. You will:Ìý

• Coordinate daily site operations including scheduling, workflowÌýmanagementÌýand product processingÌý
• Lead workforce planning activities including rostering, shift allocation and leave managementÌý
• Provide day-to-day leadership,ÌýdirectionÌýand support to operational teamsÌý
• Build team capability through training,ÌýcoachingÌýand developmentÌý
• Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management processesÌý
• Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring clear communication with customers and internal stakeholdersÌý
• Identify,ÌýescalateÌýand resolve operational issues, including plant and equipment challengesÌý
• Drive operational efficiency, continuousÌýimprovementÌýand service delivery outcomesÌý
• Ensure compliance with safety,ÌýqualityÌýand regulatory requirementsÌýat all timesÌý
• Oversee site housekeeping, maintenanceÌýcoordinationÌýand facility standardsÌý

You will be a key link between frontline operations and site leadership, ensuring smooth execution and a high-performing team environmentÌýacross a continuous 24/7 operation.

• Experience in a manufacturing,Ìýlogistics,ÌýhealthcareÌýor other highly regulated operational environmentÌý
• Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising operational teamsÌý
• Strong capability in workforce planning,ÌýrosteringÌýand managing operational prioritiesÌý
• Experience working within shift-based or 24/7 operational environments (highly regarded)Ìý
• Experience supporting training, onboarding and performance management processesÌý
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic environmentsÌý
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsÌý
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to balance operational and people prioritiesÌý
• A strong commitment to safety,ÌýqualityÌýand continuous improvementÌý

Experience in sterilisation, irradiation processing or medical/cleanroom environments will be highly regarded.Ìý
