AboutÌýthe RoleÌý

We are seeking aÌýSenior Manufacturing Engineer – PCB & ElectronicsÌýto ensureÌýSyenta’sÌýelectronic assemblies are designed and manufactured for real-world production. This role bridges the gap between engineering design and factory execution, driving manufacturability, process capability, and supplier engagement.Ìý

You will own the design-for-manufacture (DFM) process for all PCB and electronic assemblies, support NPI cycles through to stable production, and collaborate across engineering, operations, and supplier teams. This is a high-impact role critical to scaling production whileÌýmaintainingÌýquality, yield, and efficiency.Ìý

ResponsibilitiesÌý

Manufacturing Process & DFM OwnershipÌý

  • Own the DFM process for all PCB and electronic assemblies, reviewing layouts, BOMs, and fabrication notes before releaseÌýÌý

  • Define and document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control checkpointsÌýÌý

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) transitions from engineering builds to production, ensuring yield, cycle time, and quality targets are metÌýÌý

  • Drive continuous improvement using data from AOI, X-ray, ICT, and functional test outputsÌýÌý

  • Collaborate with EE, mechanical, and cross-functional teams to translate field failures into design and process improvementsÌýÌý

Supplier & Factory EngagementÌý

  • Manage technical relationships with PCB fabricators, EMS partners, andÌýcomponentÌýsuppliersÌýÌý

  • Define acceptance criteria, audit processes, and supplier qualification frameworksÌýÌý

  • Provide actionable, data-driven feedback to suppliers and internal teams to optimise yield and manufacturabilityÌýÌý

Process Capability & QualityÌý

  • Ensure deep understanding of PCB fabrication constraints, SMT assembly processes, andÌýcomponentÌýhandlingÌýÌý

  • Support test strategy development for ICT, flying probe, and functional testingÌýÌý

  • Implement IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711, IPC-2221) in production and NPI activitiesÌý

RequirementsÌý

  • 8+ years in electronics or PCB manufacturing engineering, with direct factory floor experienceÌýÌý

  • Deep familiarity with SMT processes: stencil printing, reflow, selective soldering, rework, and inspection (AOI, AXI, SPI)ÌýÌý

  • Strong understanding of PCB fabrication constraints:Ìýstackups, impedance control, finish options, tolerancesÌýÌý

  • Experience running or supporting NPI cycles through to stable productionÌýÌý

  • ProficiencyÌýwith IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711, IPC-2221)ÌýÌý

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and offshore supply chainsÌýÌý

  • Hands-on experience with test strategy development (ICT, flying probe, functional test)ÌýÌý

  • Excellent communication skills, able toÌýinterface effectively fromÌýtechnicians to executivesÌý

Preferred QualificationsÌý

  • Experience with EDA/Layout tools: Altium Designer,ÌýKiCad, Cadence AllegroÌýÌý

  • Familiarity with AOI/AXI/SPI equipment (Koh Young, Saki, Omron, or equivalent)ÌýÌý

  • Experience with ICT platforms (Keysight, Teradyne) and SPC/quality tools (Camtastic,ÌýGerbView)Ìý
