AboutÌýthe RoleÌý

We are seeking aÌýSenior Mechatronics Engineer – Controls & ElectronicsÌýto drive the design, development, and commissioning of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role is heavily focused on electronics, control systems, and automation software, while requiring a solid understanding of mechanical systems.Ìý

You will lead the creation of smart, integrated machines by designing control architectures, specifying sensors and actuators, and developing embedded and PLC-level software. You will collaborate across mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver reliable, high-performance manufacturing equipment.Ìý

Controls & Electronics DesignÌý

  • Design and implement control systems for advanced manufacturing equipmentÌý

  • Select and specify electronic components including sensors, actuators, motors, drives, and controllersÌý

  • Develop embedded software/firmware and PLC programs for machine automationÌý

  • Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to deliver fully integrated solutionsÌý

  • Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layoutsÌý

  • Contribute to system architecture decisions, design reviews, and documentationÌý

Commissioning & TroubleshootingÌý

  • Commission, test, and debug complex electromechanical systemsÌý

  • Develop and implement machine safety systems in compliance with relevant standardsÌý

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and integration issues across multiple disciplinesÌý

  • Support continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment performance and reliabilityÌý

Collaboration & LeadershipÌý

  • Act as the go-to expert for controls, electronics, and automation within the teamÌý

  • Establish engineering standards, best practices, and workflows for controls developmentÌý

  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to internal teams and stakeholdersÌý

RequirementsÌý

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or equivalentÌý

  • 7+ years’ experience in mechatronics, controls engineering, or automation, with emphasis on electronics and softwareÌý

  • Strong experience with PLC programming and motion control systems (servo drives, actuators, sensors)Ìý

  • Electrical design experience: schematics, control panels, wiring diagramsÌý

  • Embedded systems programming skills (C/C++, Python) and familiarity with communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, OPC-UA)Ìý

  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems for cross-disciplinary collaborationÌý

  • Experience commissioning and troubleshooting complex electromechanical equipmentÌý

  • Strong problem-solving, initiative, and communication skillsÌý

  • Experience in semiconductor equipment, precision manufacturing, robotics, or industrial automation is highly desirableÌý
