AboutÌýthe RoleÌý

We are seeking aÌýSenior Software EngineerÌýto build andÌýmaintainÌýthe software systems that underpinÌýSyenta’sÌýmanufacturing operations. This includes backend services, APIs, cloud infrastructure, internal tools, and user-facing applications.Ìý

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, full-stack engineer with strong Python skills, solid front-end experience, and familiarity with cloud platforms. You activelyÌýleverageÌýAI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and ensure high-quality software delivery. You thrive in a startup environment, take initiative, communicate clearly, and bring a broad technical skillset. Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial IoT software is a strong plus.Ìý

You will work closely with the Software Group Lead, mechatronics, and mechanical engineering teams to deliver integrated systems, while helping to shape the software architecture and engineering practices acrossÌýSyenta.Ìý

Software Development & Full-Stack DeliveryÌý

• Design, build, andÌýmaintainÌýbackend services and APIs in PythonÌý

• Develop modern front-end applications (React, Vue, Next.js, or equivalent)Ìý

• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Ìý

• Build internal tools, dashboards, and data pipelines supporting engineering and manufacturing teamsÌý

• Integrate software with hardware systems whereÌýrequiredÌý

AI-Augmented Development & Engineering ExcellenceÌý

• ActivelyÌýleverageÌýAI-assisted coding tools to maximise development velocity and code qualityÌý

• Write automated tests,ÌýmaintainÌýCI/CD pipelines, and uphold code quality standardsÌý

• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developersÌý

• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical directionÌý

RequirementsÌý

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experienceÌý

• 7+ years’ professional software engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced startups, manufacturing tech, or industrial IoTÌý

• StrongÌýproficiencyÌýin PythonÌý

• Solid front-end skills with modern frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js)Ìý

• Experience with cloud platforms, deployment, and infrastructure-as-code (AWS, GCP, Azure; Terraform orÌýPulumi)Ìý

• Daily and proficient use of AI coding assistantsÌý

• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB), message queues, and RESTful/GraphQLÌýAPIsÌý

• Familiarity with software architecture patterns, CI/CD, testing, and DevOps practicesÌý

• Full-stack capability and ability to deliver production-ready software end-to-endÌý

• Self-starter with initiative andÌýstrong communicationÌýskillsÌý

Preferred QualificationsÌý

• Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing software (MES, SCADA, data platforms)Ìý
