About the RoleÌý

As the Youth Development & Education Facilitator,Ìýyou’llÌýwork directly with young people facing barriers such as homelessness, trauma, family breakdown, mental healthÌýchallengesÌýand educational disengagement.Ìý

You’llÌýdeliver our innovative:Ìý

Through workshops at Phoenix Youth Hub and partner schools, while also providing case management, advocacy and support to help young people achieve their goals.Ìý

No two days are the same. One day you might beÌýfacilitatingÌýa group workshop, the nextÌýyou’reÌýsupporting a young person through their education pathway, connecting them with services, or working alongside schools and community partners to create positive outcomes.Ìý

What You’ll Be DoingÌý

Program Delivery & EngagementÌý

  • Deliver engaging, youth-focused workshops and activitiesÌý
  • Facilitate the Work Ready, Learn Ready and Life Ready programsÌý
  • Create innovative learning resources and presentationsÌý
  • Build strong relationships with young people,ÌýschoolsÌýand community partnersÌý
  • Foster safe,ÌýinclusiveÌýand trauma-informed learning environmentsÌý

Youth Support & Case ManagementÌý

  • Conduct assessments andÌýidentifyÌýindividual needsÌý
  • Develop andÌýmonitorÌýcase plansÌý
  • Provide advocacy,ÌýreferralsÌýand coordinated supportÌý
  • Support young people to achieve education,ÌýemploymentÌýand personal development goalsÌý
  • Work collaboratively with families,ÌýschoolsÌýand service providersÌý

Community PartnershipsÌý

  • Maintain professional networks across education,ÌýcommunityÌýand youth sectorsÌý
  • Represent TYS in community and interagency forumsÌý
  • Promote pathways into education, training,ÌýemploymentÌýand support servicesÌý

About YouÌý

You’reÌýpassionate about empowering young people andÌýunderstandÌýthe challenges many face.Ìý

You’llÌýbring:Ìý

  • 3+ years’ experience as an EducatorÌýfacilitator, Youth Worker, Case Manager, or in a related community services roleÌý
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people in community,ÌýeducationÌýor residential settingsÌý
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skillsÌý
  • Strong caseÌýmanagement and assessment skillsÌý
  • ExperienceÌýfacilitatingÌýgroups,ÌýworkshopsÌýor training sessionsÌý
  • Creativity and confidence developing engaging educational contentÌý
  • Strong digital skills, including Canva and Microsoft OfficeÌý
  • A commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-basedÌýand culturally safe practiceÌý

Essential RequirementsÌý

  • TertiaryÌýqualifications in Youth Work, Case Management, Social Work, Psychology, Education.Ìý
  • Current Working with Children CheckÌý
  • Undergo aÌýNational Police CheckÌý
  • Current unrestricted NSW DriverÌýLicenceÌý
  • Access to a comprehensively insured motor vehicleÌý
