Our Housekeeping Department plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall guest experience by creating a clean and welcoming environment for all at our beautiful hotel.

The Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join the team our Housekeeping Team. We have a Full-Time Housekeeping Supervisor position available.

As an essential team member within the housekeeping department, you will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager and be responsible for overseeing and inspecting guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and presentation consistently meet the required standards. You will also be responsible for supervising team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while coordinating room turnover to align with guest check-in and check-out requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Vacuum, dust, and polish furniture to maintain pristine condition and a hygienic environment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of rooms, all public areas, toilets, function rooms, offices and hotel venues.
  • Keep common areas and back of house clean, well-stocked, and properly maintained.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and supply rooms with necessary items e.g. linens, toiletries and cleaning products.
  • Address and fulfil special requests from guests e.g. delivering additional towels or pillows to the relevant rooms
  • Replenish guest supplies including restocking and completing stocktake for the minibar
  • Collect and dispose of rubbish from guest rooms and public areas regularly.
  • Assist with the sorting, washing, drying and folding of hotel linens and guest laundry where necessary.
  • Collect dirty linen and take down trollies
  • Accept linen deliveries and distribute to floors, restocking linen storerooms as required
  • Assist with placing bed boards, rollaway beds, baby cots and special pillows
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate departments, ensuring that security procedures are followed.
  • Clean and tidy guest rooms – making beds, changing linens and replenishing amenities
  • Carry out ad hoc spring-cleaning tasks (i.e. shampooing of carpets and/or removal of furniture) as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Assist in overseeing training of team members within the housekeeping department.

  • Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a five-star hotel environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work.

  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
