We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers with specific experience in Complex Behaviors or High-Intensity Clinical Complex Care to join our growing team in Western Sydney.Ìý

The RoleÌý
In line withÌýTheÌýNDISÌýChoice and Control,Ìýour participants look for consistency andÌýrelationships, so buildingÌýrapportÌýis essential to the role.Ìý

Shift Structure: There are 14+ hours available. InitialÌýshiftsÌýtypically 2–4 hours. This allows you to build a genuine relationship and reputation with participants.
- Multiple participants in the area that would benefit from your support.Ìý

Growth: As youÌýestablishÌýtrust, there is significant opportunity to fill your schedule with multiple shifts throughout the dayÌýwith shifts varying in times betweenÌý6amÌýtoÌý10pm.Ìý

Environment:ÌýSupport ranges from 2:1ÌýbehavioralÌýshiftÌýto 1:1ÌýpersonalÌýcare in private homes, community access, day programs,Ìýtransport services,Ìýor SIL environments.Ìý
Requirements & ExperienceÌýincludes but is not limited to:Ìý
- Experience implementingÌýBehaviorÌýSupport Plans (BSP).Ìý
- ExpertiseÌýworkingÌýwith participants with extreme behaviors like schizophrenia.ÌýÌý
- Experience with Daily PersonalÌýCareÌýand DailyÌýLiving SupportÌýActivities.Ìý
- ProficiencyÌýin PEG feeding, Diabetes management, Catheter care, Seizure managementÌýetc.Ìý
- Meal preparation that aligns with special dietary needs (diabetic, low sodium, high protein, sauce based).Ìý
- Competency in manual handling, including the use ofÌýslings and hoists.Ìý
- Experience administering medication using a plan, webster pack, crushing etc.Ìý
- Experience using slip sheets, hoists, slings,Ìýwheelchairs,Ìýetc.Ìýfor transfers of participants with extreme impairments.Ìý
- Strong emotional resilience and de-escalation skills.Ìý
- Ability toÌýmaintainÌýaccurateÌýclinical documentation, riskÌýassessments,Ìýand reporting.Ìý
- Ability to communicate withÌýparticipantsÌýwhere they may be limited in ability.Ìý
- Time Management & Organization.Ìý
- Working Independently, Under Pressure and strong understanding of reporting guidelines.Ìý
- Engaged clients in physical and cognitive activities to promote wellbeing.Ìý
Mandatory CriteriaÌý
- MinimumÌýCert III in Individual Support or Disability.Ìý
- NDIS Worker Screening Check &Ìý4 xÌýNDIS Orientation Modules.Ìý
- WWC – Paid employee check.Ìý
- Safety:ÌýCurrent First Aid & CPR certificates.Ìý
- Other inductions and training asÌýrequired.Ìý
- Valid Driver’s License andÌýanÌýinsured vehicleÌýtoÌýassistÌýparticipants with community access or to reach appointments is essentialÌýÌý

Pay & BenefitsÌý
- Competitive Rates:Ìý$43.23 – $44.59 per hour (based on experience/quals).Ìý
