About the role

As a Medical Officer at True, you’ll provide high-quality, client-centred sexual and reproductive health services in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

Working alongside experienced nurses, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll deliver compassionate care while contributing to service innovation, clinical education, research, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll play an important role in supporting diverse communities through accessible and respectful healthcare that changes lives.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

  • Deliver sexual and reproductive health services in line with True’s clinical guidelines and best practice standards
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and clinic teams to ensure timely, high-quality client care
  • Support and contribute to training and education for health professionals
  • Participate in research, quality improvement, and professional development activities
  • Contribute to service development and innovative models of care
  • Help foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for clients and colleagues
  • Uphold professional standards and work within safeguarding frameworks for children and vulnerable adults

What we’re looking for

You’re a compassionate and motivated clinician with a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare and improving access to sexual and reproductive health services.

You will bring:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner
  • Eligibility to obtain a VR Medicare Provider Number
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in sexual and reproductive health
  • Competency in contraceptive implant insertion
  • Competency in intrauterine device insertion, or willingness to obtain
  • SH&FPA Medical Practitioner Certificate (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain within the required timeframe
  • A collaborative, respectful, and client-focused approach to care
  • Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
